The Coleridge Restaurant is an Exmoor hidden gem. Although it’s technically in Somerset rather than North Devon, I’m willing to make exceptions for the things on Exmoor that are worth travelling for, and this definitely fits the bill.

Heddon’s Mouth is a favourite with walkers, offering a country pub, easy riverside walk and a pebble beach. Extend it to include Trentishoe Down and you can also enjoy some fabulous coastline and a challenging uphill.
Over in neighbouring Somerset and embedded within Exmoor lies the local ambler’s hotspot Tarr Steps. It is a stone’s throw from North Devon that is too good to miss.
